Biden and the the dimocrats want to pretend we'll run out of oil in a few years. According to the bedwetters of the 1970s we should have run out 20 years ago. There is probably hundreds of years of oil supply that hasn't even been discovered yet. Some think just the Permian Basin (West Texas & New Mexico) might have enough oil to supply the US for 200 years. But even if they're off by 50%, 100 years is a long time.
And it is feasible to convert earths massive coal supply to petroleum. Germany was doing this 80 years ago.

Foxnose. There is no oil at the earth's core.

It's estimated that known oil-deposits will run out by 2052. Realistically, we may never run out of oil because, given the depth of the Earth's core, there will be new wells to discover. That said, it's highly likely that the practice of mining such depths will become economically unviable.

Nice, misrepresentation Anti. LOL 'KNOWN" until 205.....2? How precise. What if in the next 28 years someone stumbles upon more oil, does that become part of the "KNOWN" supply? If that is the case, I wouldn't be surprised if someone don't go looking for it. Some of the oil companies might create a division of oil exploration teams. LOL . As much as you think you know it all, many people are not deceived by your slight of hand.

Maybe not in our lifetimes, but we will run our of oil and gas cannot be made.
Estimates are that we'll run out of known oil deposits by 2052.
I'm always surprised at the foolishness of people that demand we pretend that oil is infinite and that we should never bother even trying to find an alternative.

Things do change. But I won't be part of messing up a good thing. And on oil, There's no honest consensus on that. Once you get past the propaganda

The answer to your questions is no to all there. People who live in rural areas like it the way it is.

EVs are not the whole solution. They can be part of a greater strategy to lower carbon emissions. EVs have problems that, in time, may or may not be resolved. Other forms of transportation will be developed such as hydrogen power vehicles that will give consumers more choices. Ultimately, mass transit needs to branch out from large cities to rural areas, much like oin Euroope and other parts of the world. But are you willing to give up gas powered vehicles? Do you want to be able to take a train or bus to nearby cities? Do you want others to be able to take mass transit to your community?
