Rental property shortage.

every time an illegal gets a rental, that is one home a real American can't rent

Actually

Simple logic curve shows how bad illegals are for our housing situation that Americans deserve.

A_U_B data metrics prove it. Easy to see.

The illegals are taking some of the homes that should go to Americans.

Bestill the Dried up OLD Bean you aren't even getting action from illegals. They prefer fat younger fatty girls to your prune face.

Maybe try Trayvons?

Oh Stupe, you are sooooo woke. But thankfully you remembered a government handout to solve your personal opportunity to show actual compassion. Section 8 yes, why didn't I think of that. By the way, how many rentals do you own?

That is so sad, actually. To think that some folks are so poor that a family who has nothing with multiple children, who cannot speak the language, with only the clothes on their backs are outdoing you on housing? For the love of god already, at least you can apply for section 8.

illegals are messing up the supply and demand curve.

American homes should be for Americans first, not illegals who snuck into our Country

I don't have nearly the insight of a real estate mogul like Anti but I have been around this block before. Can we expect to see an increase in foreclosures as payments get just beyond reach of those who went out on a limb with a pocket full of stimulus money? Most of the time I have noticed a massive interest rate increase used to slow the Democrat created INFLATION causes house payments to rise drastically. We in the common sense arena call it UNDERWATER housing bubbles

The bush recession was caused by BILL CLINTON changing a law put in place after the Great Depression.

You're saying that the Great Recession, that began in 2007, was due to something that Bill Clinton did 8 or more years prior?

And Bush is blameless for not changing it?

OK.

You had 30% more under Trump

You can easily see that new home construction plateaued under Trump, and then picked back up again in 2020.

Obama's first term: 41.8%
Obama's second term: 50.0%
Trump's term: 25.6%
Biden's first YEAR: 18%

My family has rented out properties before. We currently have 2 that were trashed to the point that they're no longer livable. Material costs are through the roof and truthfully we would rather have them sit empty than deal with entitled renters who think that they can pay on whim and then destroy everything when we don't fall for continuous sob stories. As for getting references, they done got those figured out by having their buddies lie though their teeth. Not saying all renters are like this cause we do have a few that are wonderful but those bad ones just spoil it for everyone.

The causes of the housing supply crisis are widely understood. After the Great Recession, new home construction dropped like a stone. Fewer new homes were built in the 10 years ended 2018 than in any decade since the 1960s. By 2019, a good estimate of the shortage of housing units for sale or rent was 3.8 million. The pandemic-induced materials and labor shortage exacerbated the trend, however, as evidenced by the surge in rents and home prices in 2021.

Rising mortgage interest rates have already reduced housing demand, particularly for new homes, and a possible economic slowdown could reduce demand further. We expect that prices and rents will likely stabilize or even fall in some markets. Nevertheless, the supply problem will remain, and the pain it causes will likely continue to be felt mostly by low- and moderate-income families.

I don't think people can be kicked out right now. Didn't congress pass some kind of bill?

I would rather rent to a family of illegals than most of these rent beaters in Wilkes. If you have anything to rent, you need to run background checks and see where and what condition they left their last property. Most of the ones moving are getting evicted for not paying rent then tearing down the property before they can be kicked out. That is why you see so many houses sitting empty.

i would think that if you have an illegal with 2 or 4 kids living in a Wilkes apartment or house then it is one less apartment or house available for an American to live in. Simple logic.

You just made this all up. I bet you don't know an illegal except in your imagination.

The color of money is green, if those that have it to spend...what seems to be the problem.

Obviously your red blooded Americans don't seem to want to spend it!!!

Not many places are available. Maybe letting illegal immigrant women with 3 kids each will help the shortage of apartments?
