Humane Society of Wilkes Spay-Neuter Assistance Program Registration: Friday, August 4, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

HSOW building at Hidden Oaks Dog Park, 206 S. Bridge St., Wilkesboro, NC 28697

To qualify for vouchers:

You must be a Wilkes County resident (bring ID).

Please bring proof of income in the form of a Medicaid card or a copy of your last tax return showing an annual income of under $26,000.

Please bring $35 per cat and $50 per dog, cash (exact change) or check.

You may purchase two vouchers per person per registration event, toward a limit of six cats and two dogs per year.

You should have a surgery appoinment for each pet at Wilkes Veterinary Hospital or Riverview Animal Hospital for between Aug. 7 and Oct. 9.

Be sure to tell the vet office staff that you plan to use a SNAP voucher. If you are a new client at Wilkes Veterinary Hospital, you will be required to bring your pet(s) to a "wellness exam" first. You'll get the surgery appointment at the exam.
