If it's no place in the Bible to worship on the first Day, why do people WORSHIP God on first Day?

Then came together unto him the Pharisees, and certain of the scribes, which came from Jerusalem.

2 And when they saw some of his disciples eat bread with defiled, that is to say, with unwashen, hands, they found fault.

3 For the Pharisees, and all the Jews, except they wash their hands oft, eat not, HOLDING THE TRADITION OF THE ELDERS

antithesis. U can always find a excuse not to follow Jesus. By but Moses said or Paul said or my preachers says. A person not got the faith or dedicated to Jesus will follow whatever is in THEIR hearts to Do. You can always find a excuse not to follow Jesus. Find the reason to follow is what Jesus is ABOUT.

antithesis. They were disobedient by not doing as God Said. Reread it maybe you will understand. Are we still under the laws of Moses? Can you separate the laws of Moses from the Covenant God made with the Israelites? What was the Covenant God made with the people? Didn't the people run to Moses and tell him that they would listen to whatever he said? So now Moses and his laws and traditions that have been created over the years has passed. Now it Jesus The Christ that is teaching.

When thou comest into thy neighbour's vineyard, then thou mayest eat grapes thy fill at thine own pleasure; but thou shalt not put any in thy vessel.

25 When thou comest into the standing corn of thy neighbour, then thou mayest pluck the ears with thine hand; but thou shalt not move a sickle unto thy neighbour's standing corn.

What was Jesus doing on the SABBATH DAY? Was he healing the sick? Was he working for wages or monetary gain? No!!! he was doing what The Father told him to do. If you see someone injured on the SABBATH DAY would you help them or wait until the SABBATH passed. If you see a person in a pit that couldn't get out would you work as hard as possible to get that person out?? I would do all that was possible to retrieve the person.

Do you remember Exodus 16?

On the sixth day they gathered twice as much bread, two omers each. And when all the leaders of the congregation came and told Moses,

he said to them, "This is what the Lord has commanded: Tomorrow is a day of solemn rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord; bake what you will bake and boil what you will boil, and all that is left over lay aside to be kept till the morning.'"

So they laid it aside till the morning, as Moses commanded them, and it did not stink, and there were no worms in it.

Moses said, "Eat it today, for today is a Sabbath to the Lord; today you will not find it in the field.

Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, which is a Sabbath, there will be none."

On the seventh day some of the people went out to gather, but they found none.

And the Lord said to Moses, "How long will you refuse to keep my commandments and my laws?

See! The Lord has given you the Sabbath; therefore on the sixth day he gives you bread for two days. Remain each of you in his place; let no one go out of his place on the seventh day."

So the people rested on the seventh day.

God clearly forbade His followers from picking grain or making food on the Sabbath. They were ordered to make food on the 6th day, and just eat leftovers on the 7th day!

But Jesus completely contradicted this, saying that the Sabbath was made for man, it was never intended to be an enforced law.

Which means, of course, that when Moses wrote Exodus... he was wrong.

How is it unlawful to pick grain? Was it unlawful? Show me where plucking grain is unlawful..

I'm no expert on ancient Hebrew law, but this might help you understand:

https://www.ligonier.org/le...in-sabbath

Matthew 12 and John 5 are full of examples of Jesus working on the Sabbath, though. And He often said that the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.

Jesus said that the Sabbath doesn't matter.

Moses said that the Sabbath doesn't matter.

Why do you think that your beliefs are more important than what they said

You need to start reading the Bible instead of thinking you know everything. But people like you are blinded because you just don't see the difference between sin and Traditions.
Was it a sin to pluck grain??? NO it was there traditions.

Can you read?

14 And thou shalt not go aside from any of the words which I command thee this day, to the right hand, or to the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

15 But it shall come to pass, if thou wilt not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe to do all his commandments and his statutes which I command thee this day; that all these curses shall come upon thee, and overtake thee:

16 Cursed shalt thou be in the city, and cursed shalt thou be in the field.

17 Cursed shall be thy basket and thy store.

18 Cursed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy land, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.

19 Cursed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and cursed shalt thou be when thou goest out.

20 The Lord shall send upon thee cursing, vexation, and rebuke, in all that thou settest thine hand unto for to do, until thou be destroyed, and until thou perish quickly; because of the wickedness of thy doings, whereby thou hast forsaken me.

21 The Lord shall make the pestilence cleave unto thee, until he have consumed thee from off the land, whither thou goest to possess it.

22 The Lord shall smite thee with a consumption, and with a fever, and with an inflammation, and with an extreme burning, and with the sword, and with blasting, and with mildew; and they shall pursue thee until thou perish.

23 And thy heaven that is over thy head shall be brass, and the earth that is under thee shall be iron.

24 The Lord shall make the rain of thy land powder and dust: from heaven shall it come down upon thee, until thou be destroyed.

25 The Lord shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and flee seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth.

26 And thy carcase shall be meat unto all fowls of the air, and unto the beasts of the earth, and no man shall fray them away.

Where does it say to worship on the Sabbath?

Please just quote the scripture and give us the Book, chapter and verse

Thanks in advance
------

It's no place to worship on the Sabbath Day. Remember the Sabbath Day to keep it Holy. We that is Disciples WORSHIP God through Jesus every day all through the day thanking him for all that he does for us. Sabbath Day is the day you put up your work boots and Rest relax from earning a living. But we work for God 24 hours a day 7 days a week. If we need to help someone that are having a problem we help them. Not for money gain but because that is what is required for us to do. But we don't WORSHIP on any specific day when God gives so much everyday..

Do you humble yourself to care for those less fortunate???

12When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. "Do you understand what I have done for you?" he asked them. 13"You call me Teacher' and Lord,' and rightly so, for that is what I am. 14Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet. 15I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you. 16Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. 17Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

---

One Sabbath Jesus was going through the grainfields, and as his disciples walked along, they began to pick some heads of grain. 24 The Pharisees said to him, "Look, why are they doing what is unlawful on the Sabbath?"

25 He answered, "Have you never read what David did when he and his companions were hungry and in need? 26 In the days of Abiathar the high priest, he entered the house of God and ate the consecrated bread, which is lawful only for priests to eat. And he also gave some to his companions."....
------

27 Then he said to them, "The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. 28 So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath."

Jesus Himself said that it doesn't really matter.

Mark 2:24-27 - And the Pharisees said unto him, Behold, why do they on the sabbath day that which is not lawful? And he said unto them, Have ye never read what David did, when he had need, and was an hungred, he, and they that were with him? How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him? And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath

Colossians 2:16-17 - Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath [days]: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body [is] of Christ.

Leviticus 23:32 - It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.

Romans 14:5 - One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.

The Bible makes it very clear that it is up to each individual on when and how to honor the Sabbath. Leviticus even says it could be one day a month (starting at dusk on the 9th, ending at dusk on the 10th).

So the real answer to your question is... habit. People go drinking on Friday and Saturday, then use Sunday to rest, recover, and get ready to go back to work on Monday.

Which is exactly what Jesus said to do.

You can ignore what I say all you want but one thing about it. You Will Not ignore JESUS. You criticize me for standing firm on the teaching of Jesus while you CHRISTIANS stand firm on a religion that was CREATED after the death and Resurrection of Jesus. Then post how I'm wrong by posting truth while you CHRISTIANS hold to your traditions. No; I don't understand how you can obey laws of man and not obey the LAWS of God. You just might want to ask yourself why you can't keep them. Seems most people frown on stealing lying killing people uncalled for treating parents awful but the others would require change in your life style. If you think being a Christian is going to help you at judgement day, think again. You going to stand there and answer for what all you done. The good and bad. Just because you have lots of people around you sinning as you do makes you look good. Your knee your Judgement is for you and only you.

He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

15 For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and wh*remongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

16 I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, and the bright and morning star.

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.

18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

20 He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
